Field Trip
I went with Paxton's class on a field trip. We rode the bus over to the Nature Center and learned all out rocks and how they form. Then we got to explore and look for the coolest rock we could find. These kids are crazy, but it's so fun being with them! I'm glad Paxton still likes me to be there!
Preschool Orientation
Graham had a preschool orientation where he met his teachers and kids he was going to be going to school with. They were so cute and took these pictures of the kids. He's excited for another year of preschool at Studio 56, a dance preschool!
Lunch date with my little Graham. He was excited for blackberry pizza, so was I!
Heber
We went to Heber for cousin Owen's birthday party and got to play with tractors and get a ride from one.
After the party we went for a ride on the UTV aka The Hulk. We stopped for a little walk and we had some beautiful views! It was a great day!
Classic Water Park
This was our first time tring out Classic's water park. It was pretty small, but it actually was just perfect for my kids ages. After some convincing, Paxton finally went down the water slides and then he loved it so much that that's all he did over and over again. I took Graham down a slide a couple of times and he didn't love it so much so he stayed in the kiddie pool area. We stayed pretty much to closing time and Pax was the last one left going on the big slides so the Lifeguard was awesome and joined him on the slides. It was cute to see them talking and racing down the slides. I'm proud of Paxton getting over his fear and enjoying the water slides, maybe he will be ready for Seven Peaks next year.
San Francisco
Rem and I finally took our first trip away from the kids, it was wonderful (and not long enough, haha)! We have some friends that live in San Fran so we went to visit them. Sara and Steve were so much fun to hang out with and they know all the best places to see. The highlight of the trip for me was biking the Golden Gate Bridge (even though it was pretty tough, it was a lot of fun too).
Rem, Steve and Sara were pretty obsessed with playing Pokemon Go, I tried my best to put up with it and even let them sign me up to join on one of there big raids or whatever you call them.
This Taco Bell was a great hangout spot because it was a little too cold to want to sit outside, but we definitely wanted to be whale watching. We saw tons of spouts and occasionally we would see them breach out of the water, it was way cool!
Going to San Fran was great for eating good food and even trying things you've never had before. I was so proud of Rem for being adventurous because he is not the type usually. Here we are trying Dim Sum. It was actually pretty good, although I thought it was weird that this is supposed to be breakfast. I just don't have that big of an appetite for breakfast, so it was hard trying everything! It was great going with Steve and Sara though, they knew all the good things to order! Next time I would make this more of a dinner spot.
We got so lucky to get some tickets to Alcatraz since it was all booked up online, we had to wait in a stand-by line. I'm so glad we made it there, it was very interesting! Afterwards we were starving and went to the famous Boudin for their sourdough bread bowls and soup, yum!
One of the days it was just Rem and I and we did a whole bunch of walking and saw the sites, rode in a trolley, saw China Town and yummy food. But best of all that day is that we got to facetime our kiddos! We did miss them even though it was really nice to do some traveling without them.
We biked the GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE! It was amazing!! I'm proud of myself for doing this. The bike ride started at the Ferry Building, so we had quite a ways to get to the bridge. The first part was easy and flat and really fun, but then it started to get hilly, so it got hard. I was waiting for the bridge, thinking it would be flat and easy again, but it wasn't quite what I thought. The bridge slightly goes up and then slightly down, so the first half was still pretty tough especially because the wind was against us. But once we passed the halfway point it was mostly all down hill from there. There were such beautiful views!
It was pretty foggy most of the time we were there.
Solar Eclipse
Some people made a big deal out of this day and traveled to Idaho to see the full Eclipse which I heard was actually amazing and it went completely dark in the middle of the day. Here we didn't get the full effect, but it did get a little bit darker and it made cool shadows on the ground. Rem had brought home some special glasses we could look through, so we went outside to look at it and our neighbors were out so we joined them and had our own little Solar Eclipse Party! The older kids had there first day at school and they also got to go outside and view it.

Paxton's first day of 2nd Grade
It's crazy how fast summer goes by and these kids just grow up so fast!
Paxton was excited to be going back to school, his teacher is Mrs. Winn.
Paxton let me and Graham walk with him to school. It was fun to reunite with his buddies. Here's just a few of them. Jaiden, Eli, Pax and Henry
Camping in Manti
The Weekend after school started we went camping with some of my family in Manti. We like coming this time of year when they are doing their fair. We went to the derby, saw lots of animals and old cars, went swimming, fishing, rode the UTV's and watched a movie outdoors. It's always way more fun going camping with my parents because they have all the toys! This is becoming an annual camping trip!
We sat on the front row when watching the derby. The boys had a lot of fun watching the cars race and smash into each other. But we had a little scare, when one of the cars came barreling through the barrier cement wall and stopped just before the fence. It happened so fast that all our reactions were very slow to protecting our kids. It was crazy! Some of us got hit by some of the busted up cement, but no one got hurt. Pax is holding the the piece that hit him.
We were seriously thinking about getting a bunny after seeing and petting so many cute ones!
The boys were more interested in wrestling each other than looking at the cars.
Watching Sandlot outside with root beer floats was pretty fun!
