Rem and I have always loved Halloween and we love the music from 'The Nightmare Before Christmas'. So Rem got some ideas and went to work! My only concern is where are we going to store all this stuff. He is super creative and I love how it all turned out, although I was glad to get my husband back from working on these projects day and night.
We had lots of people on Halloween night taking pictures with the characters.
Paxton was super excited for fall time and couldn't wait to make a pile of leaves to jump in. This was only the beginning of our leaves falling, we get TONS more.
Jack Skellington sat in our house a lot while Rem was finishing him up. There were several times that I would catch the boys sitting with him, looking up to him.
Graham showing me his drawings.
Lilo dressed up as Pikachu.
This was the Sorenson Halloween party. By the time we thought to get a picture of all the kids, they had already taken their costumes off.
One day after school I had to meet my sister Jamie to pick up Lilo from her (she was watching her). I asked the boys what they wanted to do since we were already out and about and Paxton wanted to so a hike! I'm so glad he did, it was a lot of fun even though I didn't have the best shoes on.
It was show and tell at school for Graham, starting with the letter 'D'. He wanted to wear his dinosaur shirt and bring his huge dinosaur! It was so cute to see him carry it around as it was almost as big as him.
Gardner Village
We invited my parents to come to dinner one night at Archibald's and then walk around and see all the witches.
Pumpkin Patch
We needed some pumpkins for our yard so we went out to this place in Draper and picked out a bunch of pumpkins and then the kids got to play on some jump houses/slides and in a corn pit.
They had a lot of fun!
Preschool Fieldtrip
Zoo
Went to the zoo with my friend, Kimberlee and her cute boys Jack and Mick.
Zoo again
Went to the zoo with cousin Jake and Paxton got to come this time!
Grandma's Annual Halloween Party
I love going to my Grandma's Halloween party. Pretty much all the cousins dress up and it's fun to see everyone's costumes. It's fun to get together for dinner, catching up and carving pumpkins!
Ben and Erika
The Moss Crew with Alex, Syd and Lizzie and their other halves.
We did a Pokemon theme this year at Paxton's request. I wasn't quite done with Paxton's costume, just a few more spikes to add and Grahams costume hadn't come in the mail yet (from China), so thank goodness Rems mom had a pikachu hat on hand that we borrowed for the night.
Sandee and Jake
The Richardson Crew...Troy, Melissa, Aliyah, Gavin and Logan
We let the boys draw on their pumpkins and then we tried to carve it, it was quite interesting to say the least.
After we are done carving we line the pumpkins up and put candles in them and turn the lights out. I love seeing every ones creations.
The very next day after the party Graham's costume came in the mail! He makes one cute Charmander and he's SUPER soft!
Trick or Treat
at GG's assisted living place. The kids love any chance to put on their costumes and get candy!
Trunk or Treat
This was our ward Trunk or Treat on the same night as GG's Trick or Treat. Lots of candy that day! Rem was so proud of his creations (which he should be) that he made the effort to get them to the church parking lot for everyone to see.
Preschool Halloween Parade
These kids are so dang cute. They paraded down the sidewalk and back and then they lined up by the house and sung a couple Halloween songs.
Trick or Treat at Dad's office
Another day of trick or treating. Rems office buildings do trick or treating through all the cubicles so the kids load up on lots of candy! They also do a contest of the best decorated cubicles. Rem and his team went all out this year and of course they did The Nightmare before Christmas and Rem brought all of his creations. It looked amazing and they won first place!
These faces were projected onto the pumpkins and they were moving to make them look like they were singing.
Lock, Shock and Barrel
Oogie boogie and Jack Skellington
Cabin and Park City
We stayed the night at the cabin with Trev and Sandee and then the next day we met up with Jamie and Dan in Park City at this free Halloween event where the kids got to paint pumpkins and play some games to win prizes. I wanted to see my cute Lucy and Lincoln in their Halloween costumes since they weren't at my Grandma's Halloween party. They sure looked cute, it was especially fun to see Lincoln rocking the spider costume that I made for Graham last year.
Paxton's school Halloween parade
It sure was fun to see Paxton walking through in his costume, he sure was pretty proud to be wearing that awesome costume. It definitely made me happy to see how much he loved it since it was a labor of love making that thing! He got some comments of being a dinosaur or a hedge hog. But Paxton was sure to correct them and let them know he was a Pokemon named Sand Slash.
And finally... Trick or Treating on Halloween Night!
We had a full house on Halloween night. My parents, Erika & Ben and Trev, Sandee & Jake all came over to join us. My mom and Sandee stayed back at the house to pass out candy while the rest of us went out with the kids to Trick or Treat. Even Lilo came with us!
