March 2018

Gateway Children’s museum with cousins
We went to the museum with my sister Jamie and her kids. The kids had a blast at the museum, we got there after lunch and we stayed until they closed.  There were so many things to do and it was hard to get them to switch from area to area, but knew they’d be upset if the didn’t get to do everything.  Afterwards we went to dinner at the California Pizza Kitchen where I accidentally left my credit card. But even worse was when we made our way back to our cars, my sisters car window was smashed in and her laptop was stolen. It ended up being a really late night, I felt so bad for her. But in the end, everyone was safe and that’s what mattered most.

Graham had dress up like a “Who” day for Dr. Suess week at school.

One day we showed up to the library and they had tons of legos dumped out so we stopped to build for a while before we got our books.

Celebrating birthdays with the Sorensons
Celebrating Paxton and Keaton this month. Tyson will be in May.  Can’t wait to see these three get baptized on the same day!

Paxton got Minecraft Lego's and Pokemon cards, some of his favorite things!

I love to watch this kid do his taekwondo.  He has gotten awesome at his rope climbing!

Happy Birthday Paxton!
First we got to celebrate Paxton at school the day before his birthday.  He chose rootbeer floats to pass out to his whole class.

After school Grandma and Grandpa picked him up and took him shopping.  Grandpa surprised him with golf clubs and they went to go pick out a basketball together since that is what he had been asking for. I think he got just a little spoiled!

On the morning of his birthday he got to open his presents.  We don't usually buy him too much on the year he has a big party because he gets soooo many presents from family and friends.

Turning 8 is a big deal so we threw a big party for this awesome kid!  He wanted to do a dance party.  So we reserved the church and hired a neighbor who teaches dance at a junior high to come teach a dance at the party to Paxton's favorite song.  He chose "Monster" by Imagine Dragons.

So we started out by feeding them lunch and donuts instead of cake, Paxton's choice.  Then instead of goody bags I made them all t-shirts, so we handed those out.  Then we did a photo shoot with props, they had fun being silly.  Next, Paxton opened his presents and got lots of lego's, another basketball and more.  Then finally, for the last hour they learned an awesome dance which they performed to the parents at the very end when they came to pick up their kids.  Paxton loved his party!  I loved it too, because it was so easy and it was so fun to watch them dance.

Pine Valley
For Spring Break our friends invited us and a few other families from the neighborhood to their huge cabin in Pine Valley, which is near St. George.  It was cold the first few days, so we drove into St. George to do some hikes and mess around.  It was so fun staying at the same place as everyone because we all just got to hang out.  The kids all had friends to play with and they all got along really well.  There was lots of video games, ping pong and pool, running around outside, mini golf in the cabin, basketball, card games, face painting, crafts, fishing, shooting, utv rides and more!  We even celebrated Easter a little early up there and did egg decorating and a hunt.  We had so much fun and hope they plan this trip again!

Paxton usually is pretty nervous to try new things and did not want to go on the rope swing.  We finally talked him into trying it and of course he loved it and kept doing it over and over again!
