Hammock snuggles are the BEST!

Paxton struggled with reading in first grade.  There is this big test they take called "dibles test" I think 3 times throughout the year.  His first 2 test scores were really low, in the red danger zone.  His teacher brought me in and we set up some things we could do to help him.  By the end of the year he took his last test.  The day the scores came in I got a call from his teacher (I was a little worried) but it was AMAZING NEWS, he scored the highest in his class in the green!!!  I'm so proud of this kid and how far he has come.  We went out for ice cream that night to celebrate.

Father and Sons camp out with our church.  I told them to take pictures and this all I got.  They started out going to Nickelcade and then the camp out was in the park by our church.  They had dinner and played games.  I'm glad they had such a great time!

This cute boy helped me plant my flowers.

Helping mom make pies, they each got to lick their spoons afterwards.

T-ball
Graham played spring soccer with his friend Elly.  He loved running around and going after the ball, but he got frustrated that he couldn't always get to the ball.  There was always one really good player on the other team that would hog it pretty much the whole game, it was annoying.  But he still seemed to have a good time!

Tulip Festival
We joined my mom, Jake, Jamie and her kids at Thanksgiving Points tulip festival.  It was my first time going.  It sure was beautiful walking around those gardens!  At the beginning Graham kept smelling the different flowers.

Zoo Field trip
I took Graham and Elly to their preschool field trip at the zoo.  These little kids sure are cute!  And they loved seeing all the big bugs around the zoo.

Happy 4th birthday Graham!!!
Graham woke up to balloons in his room and got to open a few of his presents.  Paxton had school that day so my mom and Jake met me at the farm at Thanksgiving Point.  Graham loves his cousin Jake and they had a good time looking at animals and going on a pony ride.

Then later Graham chose Chuck-a-Rama for his birthday dinner.  And back home to open one last present...a ninja turtle kitchen!

Birthday Party
Then the following Saturday we had a friend Dinosaur Party!  We colored dinosaur pictures, read dinosaur books, dug for dinosaur bones, made dinosaur airplanes to throw into the volcano and had a dinosaur pinata.  The kids had a blast!  We also had some dinosaur food and opened presents.  Graham loved having his friends from preschool over and a few of his cousins.

Cousin picture!

Happy Mother's Day!
I'm so grateful for my little family.  They spoiled me with breakfast, cards and flowers to plant in my yard.  I sure love all the hugs and snuggles I can get.  These people make me happy!  And I am SO grateful for my own mother and all she has done for me and continues to do for me.  She is a wonderful example and I hope to be more like her as I grow up.

Zoo day
We had a friend in town so we took them and my sister to the zoo.  My kids are obsessed with getting maps when we go places.  Graham kept getting his out and walking around with it telling us where we should go, it was so cute.

Fit and Fun Run
Paxton's school does a run ever year where you can do 1, 2 or 3 miles.  Paxton's teacher had his class running everyday and challenged them to do 3.  I joined him last year and so I joined him again this year.  We only made it 2 miles.  I think if I was more of a runner and he went with a friend that was more motivated he could've done all 3.  But I was having a hard time and I had to keep motivating Paxton and Jaiden to keep up with me!

Graham came with us in the stroller.  They got apples and water at the end.  I was proud of them for finishing even if it wasn't the 3 miles.

Preschool Graduation program
Graham loved his teachers Miss Lori and Grandpa Avery.  It was such a fun preschool for him and he made some new friends.  For their little program they had to each memorize a poem and say it with one of their friends.  Graham's friend got stage fright and I was so proud of Graham for saying it all by himself!  It was the cutest thing, he did a great job!  I love that the last line of the poem was "because I made a new friend today" and Graham always said it, "because I made a new friend UP today".  They sang a bunch of songs and got their graduation certificate.  Such a cute program!

Memorial Day weekend getaway
We went to the cabin with most of my family for the holiday weekend.  One of the days we ventured out to find a hike, it ended up being more of a walk.  But we walked along this river and found a field of Alpacas.  We also did some four wheeler rides, yummy dinners, played games and slept over.  It was a good weekend.

Field day
On Paxton's last day of school they do a field day with big blow up slides, face painting, snow cones and fire department comes at the end to spray the hose and soak the kids.  I took Graham and Elly over to go have some fun.  We barely saw Paxton, he was off playing with friends.  Paxton loves to get soaked by the fire hose, but Graham doesn't even care to get sprinkled by it.  It barely got him wet and he started crying.

At the end I found Paxton hanging out with a sixth grader.  I guess he met him at Tae Kwon Do.  He really looks up to him and they seemed to be getting along really well.  It was so sad yet sweet to see Paxton get all teary eyed when he realized that this was the last time he would see his buddy at school because next year he'd be in junior high.
