October 2015

I made caramel apples with the Young Women, so then the boys wanted to do it too.  So the next day we used all of our left over toppings and made mini caramel apples.  We had so many that we decided to share some with the neighbors.

Crazy hair day for this kid at school.  He requested Wolverine hair.

Love these cute boys of mine.  Love fall time.

Silly kiddo!

Paxton wanted to make crafts with me.

Rem made this cool cougar mask.  The boys had fun trying it on.

Graham likes to take selfies.  And then daddy creeped into the pictures.

Paxton got in the bucket first and couldn't get out.  And then of course Graham wanted to be just like his big brother and try it out.

Paxton asked me to draw an outline of a person and then he cut it out and did the rest.  I love little kids hand writing and drawings.  It's so fun to see what he come up with.

I went to Relief Society and learned how to make these cute sugar cookies.  I'm pretty proud of myself for how well they turned out.  Paxton wanted to make his own.

It doesn't happen very often, but I sure love when I find these two cute brothers sleeping in the same bed.

I like playing with this kids hair.  He always gets people commenting on how great of hair he has.

Paxton's School Halloween Parade
Graham and I dressed up in our costumes as well.  Graham was such a cute little spider and he got tons of comments from the kids in the parade saying how cute he was!  Pax had fun walking around and holding his arms out so you could see the web on his back.

Pax and some of his buddies from school.  Jaiden and TJ.

Graham and I walked home from Paxton's Halloween school parade.  On our way back Graham had to stop by several Halloween decorations and get a picture with each one.  He would turn and smile and say "cheese" and then run to the next one.

We went to  a pumpkin patch to buy some pumpkins for our yard.

More Zoo time!
We got to go to the Zoo with ALL of the Sorenson cousins!  All 17 of them!

Cornbelly's
We went with my whole family except Erika and Ben.  It was SUPER crowded so I had a talk with Paxton beforehand about getting lost and what he should do if it happens.  And it sure happened!  We pretty quickly noticed he was missing so I wasn't too worried at first, Pax isn't one that would try to run away from us so I thought we would spot him pretty quickly.  But it wasn't happening so we started to split up and go looking for him.  I had Graham so I stayed in the same place just in case he came looking for us.  I was starting to get scared and then I remembered what we had talked about before we came in.  So I pulled out my cell phone to make sure that I would here it if someone called and just as I was pulling it out of my pocket, it was ringing.  It was a woman that had Pax!  I was so grateful and so proud of Paxton!  The woman said he wasn't even scared, he just came right up to her and said, "I can't find my mom, will you call her?' and then gave her my number.  What a brave kid!  It was a good thing he had my number memorized, he had gone into the corn maze without us knowing!  We would have never found him.  It's a scary feeling losing your kid, but a reassuring one when your kid is old enough to know what to do.

Graham got to pet a raccoon!

Annual Halloween Party at GG's
Spiders!
I made the kids costumes this year.  It had been a couple years since we dressed up together in a theme.  So Paxton and I went through a whole bunch of ideas of what we could be as a family and this is the one he chose.  Rem is a wolf spider if you couldn't tell ;)
Paxton drew on his own pumpkin and I helped carve it out for him.

Ward Trunk or Treat
We had a good time seeing our ward members all dressed up and their trunks too!  Rem had fun decorating our trunk and added the nice touch of my mannequin head from beauty school.  My boys love Veronika, one of my cute young women.  She helped take the kids around from trunk to trunk.

More Zoo!
It was the day before Halloween and we were headed to daddy's work to go trick or treating at his office.  Since his work is so close to the zoo we decided to stop for a bit.

Trick or treating at dad's office.  They got SO much candy!!!
Rem works with 2 of his brothers and a brother-in-law so we got to go trick or treating with some cousins!

Halloween!
Halloween morning was Paxton's last day of flag football.  He got to be on a team with some neighbor friends.  It was fun to watch him run around and try to participate even if he wasn't always super interested in it.  I think we will try Karate next!

Later he picked his very own pumpkin that he started growing in preschool.  And then he wanted to paint it and put out on the front porch.

It was a quick dinner night so we could get out and go trick or treating.  But I still wanted to make it fun, so we had jack o lantern and spider pizza.

All ready to go!  We got the house all decked out also for the trick or treaters.  We even had music and spooky sounds.  Next year there will be a fog machine, we just ran out of juice for it and didn't realize it until it was too late.

CANDY!!!  They were pretty excited about it!  We let them eat some before bedtime.  After about a week I made a deal with Paxton to fill a small ziplock bag with candy and then give me the rest and I would give him a toy.  I did this because they got way too much candy from 3 times going trick or treating!  He was happy to do it.

I sure love the month of October!
