HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY!

A few things about Paxton...

• He is very social and likes to say hi to everyone. 
• He also likes to run ALL the time it seems like.  Going to the library and other places leaves me all sweaty and exhausted most of the time.  He sure keeps me on my toes.
• He is into telling people what to do, "Sit down" and "Come on" and even a little bit of road rage "move it car!"  I don't know where he got this from.
• He is just now figuring out that he can open doors.  When he opened the door to the garage today I said "Good Job, I think".  It may be time to start keeping doors locked!
• He is such a good little talker.  He uses lots of sentences, he's singing songs (too many to count), and he has such a good memory for names.  Of course he know the names of our families that he sees more often, but he surprises us when he remembers other peoples names that he has only seen a few times and not very often.
• He is a PICKY eater!  They foods he likes he eats very well, but other things he ends up just playing in it.  I've had to start having him wear bibs again during meal times because he gets so messy.
• He loves to watch movies and it use to be that Lion King was the only thing that could keep his attention the whole movie, now he is branching out.  A couple other of his favorites are Jungle Book and Toy Story. 
• We are excited about the weather getting nicer because Paxton loves to be outside!  Whether it's riding his cars, going to the park, chasing Lilo, playing in the dirt or just going for a walk.  It sometimes is a challenge to get this kid in the house.
• When Paxton doesn't want to do something, his way of throwing a tantrum usually is to just lay down wherever he is at, sometimes being the middle of the road.  Then there is no getting him to stand up and walk, I just have to pick him up.
• Paxton can count to 10!  He doesn't always get it right, but he can do it.  He even sometimes says 11, 17,18.  He knows the color blue and green really well and can sometimes get other colors too.  He knows some of his shapes like circle, oval, heart and star.
• Paxton still has his one nap during the day for 3 hours.  It's so nice, he is such a good sleeper.  At night we put him to bed at 7:30 and he usually gets up between 7:00 and 8:00 in the morning.  We do still give him a binkie only for sleeping though.  He is good about spitting it out in his crib when he wakes up.  I'm just not ready to get rid of it because he is so easy to put to bed and I don't want to mess with that. 

I love this little boy and the person he is becoming. He is such a sweetheart, always giving lots of hugs, kisses and cuddles. He is constantly surprising us with the things he is learning and keeps us all laughing. He knows how to get the attention of everyone in the room and loves it. He is so silly and such a boy all around!
