Harper-6 months old
My sister Jamie came over and did a photo shoot for me with Harper in a milk bath. It was so dang cute and she was just loving it and trying to eat the flowers.
Camping
My parents got a camp site for Labor Day weekend in Midway and invited anyone to come use it. The first night Harper and I slept over with my mom and then we went and spent the day shopping at Swiss Day. The next evening my whole family came up for dinner and s'mores and then just my little family stayed the night. Harper and I slept in the RV with my parents and Rem and the boys slept out in a tent. It looked cozy and fun, but they said it got really cold at night. The next day we packed up and went to the cabin for a ride on the four-wheelers. It was a great weekend!
Piano
Paxton started piano lessons. He does not love the idea, but I know how much he loves music. I feel like if we can give him some piano lessons to begin with then he can take it a different direction later on. Most days he hates it, but once he learns a song I barely even have to remind him to practice because he will just sit at the piano and start playing. I hope we can get him to stick with it for a while.
Graham
Graham is my kid that loves sugar the most, but he also is my healthiest eater and loves fruits and most vegetables. One day for a snack he asked for lettuce with Ranch dressing.
Graham and his buddy Sloan at Back to School BBQ lunch. Graham loves to catch bugs! He wanted me to take it home for him.
Fan X (aka Comic Con)
The boys love going to Comic con every year with their dad. This year we planned ahead and got our Halloween costumes ready so they could wear them to Comic con. We did characters from the movie Spider-Man into the Spider Verse. Paxton was Miles Morales, Rem was Peter B. Parker (aka fat Spider-Man) and Graham was the bad guy, The Prowler. Rem made Graham's costume and it turned out awesome! Graham loved it and he was really good at getting into the character when he was dressed up.
This is what Graham wanted to wear for picture day at school. He looked so handsome, I just love my Graham and the ideas he has.
Lagoon
This was the first time we took the kids to Lagoon and we ended up going when it was Frightmares. We went with our next door neighbor friends, the Suprises. We had so much fun! We mostly just hung out in the kiddie area and did all the little kid rides. There were a few Halloween walk through things for the kids to collect some candy and small toys. I had a hard time getting my kids to want to go on any bigger rides, but I finally talked Paxton into a few. There were some tears and some bribes, but he ended up loving all but one ride that I talked him into going on. Rem ended up going home early with Annie, Zoey, Graham and Harper and I stayed back with the big kids Paityn, Kai and Paxton. It was fun hanging out with them, we had a good time!
Disneyland
We took a last minute trip to Disneyland with our friends, the Coons. They had planned a trip a couple weeks out and invited us. We originally told them no because we had a trip planned to Disney World in May. But then the day before the trip we thought "how often do you get to travel with friends?" and "what the heck, let's go make some memories". We are so glad we did it! We had so much fun!
We spent one day at Disneyland, one day at California Adventure and one day at the beach. Everything was decorated for Halloween, our favorite time of the year to go. It was nice having Harper with us. We took advantage of having the stroller swap pass so most everyone in our group could ride the rides twice. I liked having my one on one time with Harper while everyone else stood in line and then we would switch and I got to go through the fast pass line, it was great! Harper did really well and I loved having her with us.
The new Star Wars land was pretty cool! I'm not a big fan of Star Wars, but it was fun to watch my boys enjoy it. When we first entered we saw Chewbacca and Rey and and Chewy came up to the stroller that Harper was asleep in and started shaking it, it was pretty funny. Ray kept telling him to stop and then he started pointing at Rem's beard and rocking his arms like he was his baby. Then Chewy made his call and pointed to Rem to do the same so Rem did it and Chewy liked it. It was pretty funny.
Rem really wanted to meet Jack and Sally. Harper was wearing a red bow and Jack said, "Sally, look they brought us a present."
The Coons went to Universal Studios, but we decided that three parks in a row was too much for the kids, especially Harper. Also I really wanted to see the beach since we were all the way in California. The beach was a great idea and we're really glad we went. It was relaxing, it was fun to watch the kids jump the waves and play with the heaps of seaweed, and we loved watching Harper enjoy the sand in her toes and the water rush up on her feet. I sure love this family of mine and love spending time with them!
