We were all excited to get the Christmas decorations up, so the day after Thanksgiving it all went up.
Graham was really taking it all in and loving all the tree ornaments and the train.
Santa delivered one of his elves to us, the kids named him buddy. He even brought the boys their Christmas jammies one morning. Paxton loved searching for Buddy each morning and it was so cute to see Graham looking around too, saying "Bubby, bubby" while pointing around. The kids loved having Buddy around.
It was funny one day when Pax knocked over the Christmas tree (I wish I would've taken a picture) and he started crying because Buddy was going to tell Santa and now he was going to be on the naughty list. I had to reassure him that it was just an accident.
Christmas jammies!
Sure love this smiley boy!
We went and supported Rem at the end of his semester and got to see his video game that him and his team have been working on. He is really enjoying school right now and Pax thinks his dad is SO cool!!!
I sure love being a part of the Young Womens! We have such a great group of girls. This was one of our Christmas lessons. I LOVED this video He is the Gift and this one was amazing!!! #SharetheGift Such great reminders of why we celebrate Christmas, this is one of my most favorite times of the year because of how magical it is and how caring and giving people are.
We love hanging out with our cousin Lucy!
Paxton came home from preschool one day with a beaded necklace that he made and Graham absolutely loved it! So I helped Paxton with the idea to make Graham one for Christmas. He ended up wanting to make them for his cousins Lucy and Jake and his best friend, Grady. He was so excited to give them to them.
I finally finished Graham's stocking on Christmas Eve, it's about time! Maybe I should get started on the next kids stocking now and maybe they would have it on their first Christmas ;) (No I am not pregnant, just thinking ahead)
Graham being a good at sharing ;)
One day Pax really wanted to go out and play in the snow, but Graham was sick. So I decided to let him play in the front yard while Graham and I watched him from the window. These boys sure do love each other!
Festival of Trees
Sandee and I got to go to the Festival of Trees in place of my Grandma and bid on this tree for her. It was a really fun night to be there on bidding night and we won the tree!
Zoo Lights
My sister Jamie and I went to Zoo lights with our kids and it was actually a very warm night considering it was December. But it was super crowded and my scarf got caught and tangled in my stroller so I couldn't get it out which meant the stroller was super hard to push the rest of the night. That might have been the last time I do Zoo Lights for a while ;) But it was fun to see the lights and my boys seemed to enjoy it.
Dickens Festival
Every year we have been going to the Dickens Festival to go see Santa. He is the real Santa! He is the same one when I was a little girl. He is definitely worth the wait.
Ward Christmas Party
Our ward has always done a Saturday morning breakfast for our Christmas Party. This year they did the Polar Express theme. It was so cute! They did such a great job decorating the church and making it fun for the kids.
Graham only wanted to see Santa once he saw him passing out the candy canes. This kid is addicted to sugar!
Spanish Fork Lights
We have made it a tradition to go with Jamie and Dan to see the Spanish Fork lights every year, which we love because you get to stay in your warm car and listen to Christmas music. The kids had fun sticking their heads out the window this year. I know Graham looks like he's sad in that picture, but he's not. He was actually really happy and loved pointing out all the lights.
Oh and to add to the night, on the way there we were driving on a back road and a whole bunch of dear came out in front of us to cross the road. Dan was driving first and got through just fine, but then as I thought the coast was clear, one of the dear decided to cross the road anyways and I totally hit it! I didn't get it very hard, but it scared me and I couldn't tell if it got up or ran away or anything. So I caught up with Dan and we decided to turn around and check on the dear more to have a peace of mind to make sure it was okay. Also for Paxton's sake, it was helpful to see that the dear did get up and walk away. But later that night Paxton said to me... "Mom, I think that was Prancer that you hit". Poor kid, I had to explain to him that those were not reindeer.
Preschool Program
We went to 2 different old folks homes to sing to all the cute old people. Those kids sure did put smiles on their faces. It was fun to see Paxton singing and doing actions.
Ice skating
I had a Young Women ice skating activity at the Gallivan Center. So I decided it would be fun to take Paxton with me. He was a little nervous at first, but he loved it in the end and started to get a little more brave. He sure is a ladies man, those girls sure do love him! I loved having my little buddy to hangout with and hold my hand. Sure love this kid!
Annual Gingerbread House Contest
We always have fun with this party! This year it was my two sisters, my brother and their spouses and a good friend that's practically like my sister Ali and her husband. It was their first time coming and they totally took first place with their igloo!!! We did have quite the tie-breaker and had to call another neighbor at 10:30 at night to come vote. This is serious stuff! He thought we were crazy until he came over and saw how into this we get. He had to take pictures of all them to show his wife why it took him so long to vote, haha!
Rem and I ended up with 3rd place
Trev and Sandee
Ali and Kevin with 1st place!
Jamie and Dan came in 2nd place
Erika and Ben
Soderberg Family Party
This was my mom's side of the family party. It was fun to get together and see all my cousins. Santa even came for a visit. My dad loves doing this, we were a little nervous that Pax would recognize him, but he didn't.
We just do a $5 gift exchange with the adults and one with the kids. Graham was having fun with gift bag ;)
Sorenson Family Party
We got together on Christmas Eve at about 3:00 for appetizers and gift exchange. Some of us had other parties to attend that evening so it was nice that we still got to see our Sorenson cousins! Paxton had a hard time leaving this party to go to the next because he just loves his cousins so much!
The kids also got to paint an ornament to put on Grandma's tree next year!
Paxton was excited about his ninja turtles that he got from Grandma and Grandpa.
Santa and Mrs. Claus came to visit!
All the cousins with their Christmas light necklaces on.
I was excited about this gift! We made Grandma and Grandpa these plaques with all the grand kids recent picture and a baby picture with their info such as their name, birth date, weight, where they were born, etc. They loved it! And now it is all hung up on their wall.
Graham made sure baby Owen had lots of toys to play with.
Paxton and Parker
Moss Family Party
After the Sorenson party we came to GG Moss' house for dinner and more.
After dinner we started out with this cute kids song, it's one of my favorites! Then we all shared stories of services projects we did throughout the year. And then it was present time.
We got our kids matching jammies. It was very hard to get them to all sit still for a picture.
I love this one of the three youngest. I guess Graham was doing something interesting with his feet.
Graham got really tired and snuggled right up to my cousin Alyssa. This melts my heart because this is a pretty rare moment especially to someone that is a stranger to him.
Then when we got home we put Graham to bed and Pax and I read some Christmas books under the tree and put out cookies and milk for Santa.
Christmas Morning
The first thing Paxton said to us when he woke us up was that it SNOWED and then he told us that Santa came!
Graham got a wiggle car and Paxton got Disney Infinity characters and a sword from Santa. He was planning on telling Santa that he wanted Disney Infinity (Daddy was the one talking him into this one), but last minute he told Santa that he wanted a sword.
As soon as we were done with presents, the boys couldn't wait to get outside! Well Graham and I stayed in. Rem was excited to use his snow blower and cleared the neighbors driveway also. Paxton even helped by shoveling their front porch.
Then off we went to Grandpa & Grandma Moss for the rest of the day. We started off with a yummy breakfast, followed by more presents.
This was the gift that Paxton made for his Grandpa.
Then later we got all bundled up and went outside to play in the snow! Such an awesome Christmas present!
Graham didn't last very long, it was nap time.
Christmas is so much fun especially with these 2 kiddos!
This wiggle car stayed in our kitchen for a few weeks so the boys could ride it around. It always put a smile on my face when they would share it and ride together.
