October 2014

-This is Graham folding his arms, he does pretty good doing it when it's time for dinner prayer, but not really any other prayer.
-One morning Rem had taken Graham out of his crib before he left for work while I was still in bed.  When I heard Rem leave, I slowly got out of bed and I found Graham helping himself to some cereal that Rem had left out.

Paxton and a neighbor friend, Miller hanging out and doing some wrestling.

-Pax bringing home art projects from preschool

Rem took me on a date to go see Thriller, it was awesome!  He even got second row seats, right in the center!  It was so nice to spend time just the two of us, we don't do it enough.

-I love how crazy and big Paxton's hair can get!

Where's Graham?  Silly kid, he loves to climb into cupboards and any small place he can fit in.

One day while I was on a phone call the boys were standing on the stool playing in the water with their hands, I was fine with it so I just let them.  Well I was walking around the house while talking on the phone and next thing I know, Graham had climbed into the sink and was soaking wet!!!  Crazy kids, I guess it could have been worse.

Preschool Fieldtrip
It was fun to go to an apple orchard with Paxton's preschool and learn about the process of picking apples to sorting, shining, and packaging the apples.

Time for a Ride
Our neighbors invited us to go riding with them, so we also invited my brother and his family to come with us.  We went on a fun trail up above Bountiful Temple.  It was beautiful up there, such a great time of year to go.  Although it was kind of cold.

Another Preschool Fieldtrip
This time we went to a nearby Fire Station and learned about safety and got to see the cool trucks.

The Zoo
It's so nice to have a zoo pass so you can go whenever you want.  These pictures are from two different times.  One with Paxton's best buddy and the other with their dad, my sister Jamie and little Lucy.

Wow! Another Preschool Fieldtrip
We walked to a nearby pumpkin patch.  The kids each got to pick out a smaller pumpkin.  This was actually on the day of my birthday.  I loved spending time with my boys!

St. George
We decided to take a short trip to St. George for my birthday.  I told Rem to call our good friend/like a sister, Ali and ask her for an idea of what to do for my birthday.  She HOOKED us up!  She has such an awesome job, where she gets to check out new places and write up articles on them.  So she took us to Zion's Ponderosa Ranch Resort, it was awesome!  We got everything for free, we just had to cooperate for pictures along the way so she could use them in her article.  It was the perfect way to spend my 30th birthday.  Thanks Ali!

We went on a fun ride and got to see the gorgeous views and hear some cool stories from the owner of the resort.

We went zip-lining, it was so fun!  We almost got Paxton to do it, but he got scared when we got to the top.

We put Graham down for a nap and our awesome driver that came with us babysat our kids while Rem and I got to go on short four-wheeler ride and then the horses!!!  The horses were probably my favorite!

Minature golf and rock-climbing.  Paxton loved climbing the wall!

Halloween time!
This was at my Grandma's Annual Halloween party.  It's so fun to see all my cousins dressed up in costume.  Here's just a few...

I usually dress us all up in a theme, but I think it's going to be hard to do that every year.  Graham finally fit into Paxton's dragon costume from when he was a baby so I wanted to use that.  At first Paxton was super excited to be a knight, but as the days went on he changed his mind and wanted to be a ninja turtle.

After a delicious dinner, we all go into the garage and carve pumpkins.  We did a dragon one for Graham and a ninja turtle one for Paxton.

Pumpkin Walk
Logan does this cute pumpkin walk every year.  So I took the kids to visit aunt Erika and go see all the pumpkins.  We then went out to dinner afterwards.

Preschool Program
The kids all dressed up in their costumes and we went to an assisted living type place and the kids sang Halloween songs to the elderly people.  They were so cute, but I couldn't get Paxton to take his mask off for most of it.

Trick-or-Treating
On Halloween we went trick-or-treating at daddy's office.  It's fun that Rem works with 2 of his brothers and a brother-in-law, so we got to meet up with everyone.

Afterwards we went over to the zoo just for a little bit, mainly to ride the carousel and the train since it was close by.

Then later on we went trick-or-treating around the neighborhood.  Rem took the kids out first while I passed out candy.  Then we switched and I took the kids out and Erika and Ben ended up meeting up with us.

It was funny, when Rem took the boys out he came back so frustrated with Pax because he is so slow! They had met up with some neighbors, one of Paxton's best buddies.  The kids would run from house to house to get lots of candy, but Paxton just took his time.  So when I took the kids out, I let Graham walk most of the time thinking they'd be about the same speed.  And sure enough it was about right, even Graham was faster than Pax some of the time.  Pax just gets super distracted, it's funny (but sometimes very frustrating).

It was cute to see Graham figure out what trick-or-treating was.  He wanted to hold onto his candy at first and even start eating it right away.  But then he realized what was going on and would take a handful of candy when people held out their bowls of candy (Paxton had always been good about taking one, even when he was little, without us telling him), but not Graham!  He wanted to take as much as his little hand could pick up!

He was excited about his collection of candy.  He got to eat a few pieces and then off to bed.

We had a good month.  This is one of my most favorite months, not just because it's my birthday, but because I love all the fall/Halloween decor and activities to do and the pumpkins!
