Happy St. Paxton's day!
On Paxton's birthday we used garbage bags and taped them over his door and in between his door and the bags filled it with green balloons. So in the morning when he opened his door, the balloons came tumbling in. He thought it was pretty great! Then the leperchan left us some Lucky Charms for breakfast.
This year his birthday was on a Sunday, so he got to wear
Then after church we had dinner at Grandma & Grandpa Sorensons. We then made shamrock sugar cookies and took them over to visit with Ci Ci, Addison and Grandma Cindy. It's always fun seeing Paxton interact with them.
3 years old!
My sister Jamie took these awesome pictures of Paxton. She is so great, especially to work with this kid ;) I think he was harder than doing newborn pictures. He is just always on the go and did not want to smile... lots of bribes that day!
Some things we want to remember about this age...
*He is potty trained! (for the most part)
*He loves to talk! He will go up to anyone and start talking, whether it's asking them their name, telling them a story and asking them for something. For example: at the library he asks other moms to read him books or at the park he asks other moms to push him on the swings. I guess he sees too much of me all day long.
*He loves to play pretend especially if it has to do with swords, guns, bad guys or animals.
*He likes to go swimming, but he doesn't like to go in the deep end unless you are holding him, even if he has his life jacket on.
*He has this little four-wheeler that we got him for his first birthday, and he has NEVER liked to push the button to make it go. And he still doesn't, I don't get it.
*He loves to watch all kinds of different movies. He use to like to watch the same one over and over again, but now he chooses different ones all the time. We even like to rent them from the library.
*He's also great at quoting lines from movies, it's hilarious! Two of my favorite that he says are, "My fathers not crazy, he's a genius!"-Beauty and the Beast & "Mom, you have freakishly big hands" -Wreck it Ralph.
The ZOO
Paxton loves going to the zoo to see all the animals. I think his favorite is the "huge giant elelphants" (as he calls them).
Easter in St. George
We went to St. George with my family over Easter. Paxton was sick prior to leaving, throwing up and stuff. But he seemed to be getting better so we still went. Well he threw up once in the car and once on Easter after he ate a bunch of candy. But I was a proud Mama when he ran to the bathroom and made it all in the toilet!
The Easter Egg hunt was all for Paxton, but this will be his last year because next year all the babies will be old enough to join in on the fun.
Paxton got lots of eggs! At least he is nice enough to share his candy. He had a good time finding the eggs, we had to help him some.
Then we colored eggs. And this is Paxton's new angry birds shirt from Grandma.
Happy 8th Anniversary to Rem and I! It landed on Easter Sunday this year. We did nothing for each other this year, I guess that's what 8 years of marriage does to ya. I guess the St. George trip was our gift to each other to be able to spend time with one another.
Paxton and Lucy opened their Easter gifts from Grandpa & Grandma. Paxton wanted to read Lucy her book, what a nice cousin.
The boys and their guns, they were having a blast ;)
Enjoying the nice weather and each others company.
One of the days we went over to the splash pad and river walk for Paxton to play in the water. As we were playing around, we noticed a whole bunch of characters walking around. So Paxton got to meet a bunch of them and take a pictures with some of them. We weren't sure exactly why they were there, but we think they were just advertising that they did parties for kids. It was fun that we got to see them, Paxton thought it was pretty cool.
Paxton even went on the carrousel, I was so proud of him. Because in the past he did NOT like them and would cry the whole time.
What a great and busy month!

I love when he quotes movies. He is a smart kid. And that is so funny he doesn't like his four wheeler still. Maybe Graham will like it better. I like your new blog header pic :)
