Christmas Eve with the Sorensons

Paxton was so excited for Christmas, we told him all about Santa and everything we were going to do that day.

On the drive to GG Hughes Christmas Party his excitement didn't last long, as soon as we hit the freeway he was out.  I carried him in from the car and he didn't even wake up.  He slept on GG's bed for half of the party.  We were glad he napped though because we had a long night ahead of us.

Then we were off to Grandpa and Grandma Sorenson's.  We started off with dinner when all the sudden Santa came through the door saying HO HO HO and gave all the kids candy canes.  Then each of the kids got to sit on his lap.
I was proud of Paxton, he didn't want to sit on Santa's lap but we put him up there and he didn't even cry.  He was even looking at Santa and talking with him and not trying to get down.

One of the Sorenson traditions is to play the food stealing game.  We all bring a food item for each family member, wrap it up and stick all the items in the middle.  Then we take turns either picking from the middle or stealing from someone else.  When it came Paxton's turn I helped him by giving him 4 different food choices to steal from and he picked his fruit snacks that we had to open right away!

Paxton loves his uncle Bob (Russell) and played with him for a good portion of the evening.

All the boy cousins!  Wow seeing him sitting next to them makes him look so grown up, he's not a little baby anymore.

Paxton is such a friendly little boy.  After he opened this present, he ran over to uncle Gary to show him.  This surprised me because Paxton rarely sees his uncle Gary because they live in Logan.

Opening presents.  Grandma Sorenson made hats for all the grandkids.  She ran out of time to finish them so Paxton got an adult size one that she already had made, but Paxton still loved it, he LOVES Angry Birds!  (He later received one just his size)

2 Angry birds and the pig AKA Kamryn, Kaden and Rem

We had a lot of fun at the Sorenson's.  Paxton was so done by the end of the party because it was way past his bedtime, but we still had to leave Santa cookies.  We ended up just leaving Santa some chocolates from our neighbor gifts and pretzels for the reindeer because that's all we had.  It was fun to show Pax what we were doing.  And you will have to wait to find out if Pax remembered the next morning.
