chugga chugga

Aunt Jamie helped Paxton set up the train around the Christmas tree at my parents house.

 He was so excited!

And then he discovered Grandma's iPad, he LOVES that thing!  Crazy how a one year old knows how to navigate one of those things.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

A few days after Thanksgiving, Paxton helped me decorate the Christmas Trees.  Well I guess I did it and he just played :)  We had some good laughs with this Rudolph nose and we read some Christmas books.

Rem and I had started a tradition of buying a new Christmas book every year (sometimes we buy 2).  So we have 7+ books now.  It's so fun to pull the books out and now have this sweet little boy to read them to.

We taught Paxton the Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer song.  He knows almost all of the repeats through-out the song, his favorite one to say is "like football", he also likes to say "Yipee".  He also likes to sing Jingle Bells.  I start out with Dashing through the snow... and when it gets to the part he says "Jingle bells, Jingle bells all the way"  and then he says "hey" at the end.   It's so fun to watch him learn  new things everyday.  I am so excited for Christmas this year!!!

Happy Thanksgiving

I love the fall time!  There were a few different days that Paxton and played in the leaves.  Every time a raked a pile he would run right through it.  We even sat down in the pile and threw leaves at eachother and covered our legs all the way up.  It's so fun to have a kid and be able to enjoy the fall leaves this way!

For Thanksgiving, we were with my family this year.  We went up to our cabin with my Grandma and some of my cousins.  It was a smaller group this year, but we still had fun.

I am so thankful for this sweet little boy!

My Dad and my uncle carving the turkeys-yes there were 2.  That means leftovers to take home, yum!

I helped my mom decorate the tables.
We made these cute acron cookies (an idea we got from Pinterest).

Paxton hanging out with my cousin Alex... Ipod and Black Friday Ads.

Paxton was scared of Buddy the dog at the beginning, but he soon warmed up to him (at least when he was laying down).  To see more pictures from Thanksgiving, you can click here.

We had a fun and very delicious Thanksgiving!  I am so grateful for such a wonderful family!

Playing Catch Up

Yes I know all the way back to Halloween.

We dressed up as pirates for my Grandma's Annual Halloween Party.  To see more pictures of the party, click here.

Jamie & Dan and my parents all came over on Halloween for dinner and Trick or Treating.  I think my Dad was more excited to go Trick or Treating than Paxton was.

My Dad let us use a bunch of Halloween decor he had from last year, so we decorated our porch all spooky.  We had a fog machine and scary sounds.

And of course... Jack Skellington.

The rest of these pictures are all random and out of order...

One day I was doing laundry and I didn't have really any clean clothes for Paxton so I saw this frog costume in his closet and asked him if he wanted to be a frog for the day.  He loved it, he kept hopping around the house saying 'ribbit'.  He even took a nap as a frog, it was so cute.

Paxton likes to try on our shoes.                                                 One day we were working out in the
backyard and we didn't realize how
dirty Paxton was getting.  He was
                                                                                                    having a good time!

One night we went to a friends house for dinner and these three boys were so cute together.  They kept getting up from this ledge and switching seats, they thought it was so fun.

I found Paxton and Lilo watching Barney together one day.  It was so cute to see these two together, especially with Paxton petting Lilo.  They are such good buddies.

A couple of weeks ago Paxton got 2 ear infections!  He loved taking his medicine and would keep asking for more, so I would fill it up with water instead.

Paxton all bundled up to go outside with Daddy.                      I love these boys!

Silly smile

Paxton LOVES his Papa!  When Papa is around
that is who he wants the most!

Paxton has had several haircuts but this is the first one we did at the salon.  He did so good sitting there by himself!

It's been a busy couple of months, but we are having fun.  Thanksgiving post to come next... hopefully it will go up before Christmas comes ;)

ABCD...

The other day while Paxton was in the bath I started singing the alphabet and one time I paused in between letters and Paxton surprised me by filling in.

He kind of knows 'EFG' and 'blahla blah ba T' (aka 'LMNOP').  He's also counting alot.  He doesn't always count in order but he has a few times.  He surprises me every day with how much he is learning.  I love it!

A few other new things I can think of right now that he says...

Dang-it: he'll say this sometimes when he falls down or something.
Cute:  when we go shopping he'll point at things and say cute, I guess I say that alot.
I did it: he'll say this when he learns to do something all by himself, but my favorite is when he pretends to shoot Lilo and Lilo will play dead then he gets all excited and says 'I did it'!

St. George

About a month ago (I know I know I'm behind on my blogging) we took a short trip to St. George.

We visited our friends that had triplets, they are about 7 months old now.  It was fun to go see them, we took their oldest daughter (about 2 1/2 yrs old) swimming on 2 of the days there.  Paxton was glad to have a friend!

They loved this cool river thing.  There were a lot of kids playing in it, it was fun to walk up and down.

They also played on the splash pad.  They didn't like this as much

Rem and I got to go to Tuachan and see the Little Mermaid, it was amazing!  Paxton wasn't old enough to join us, plus it was his bed time.

Feeding the ducks.

Paxton loves the golf cart, we took lots of rides.  This swimming place was a lot of fun for the kids. See that big yellow bucket at the top of the playground?  Paxton and I got dumped on by that, it was a ton of water!   It surprised us both and Pax didn't like it so much.

We went to Amelia's house to bring dinner one of the days and Amelia was watching a movie when we found that Paxton climbed up to join her, it was cute.

Trying to use chopsticks at dinner.

We had to stop in Scipio on the way home and that goat last time we saw it was just 2 weeks old, it's grown up quite a bit.

Rem tried to pet the llama and it kept spitting on him, so I made him do it again so we could get it on video.

Quack Quack

One fall day Grandma, Paxton and I went down to the duck ponds that are near our home.  Paxton loved seeing the ducks!  Although he wasn't very good about giving them the bread, he wanted to eat it himself.
