12 month stats

I had missed Paxton's 12 month appointment (never plan a doctor's appointment on the day of his first birthday party) so he just barely went a couple of days ago.

His STATS are...
weight-22lbs. 5 oz. 40%
height- 33 1/4 inches 90%
head-50%

TALKING
The doctor was impressed with Paxton's talking.  He said that he is ahead of most 1 year olds because of how many words he is saying on his own and not just copying us.  He actually said some of his animal noises while we were there, which was awesome because usually he'll get shy around new people.

Here are some of the words that he says:  car (and the sound it makes), dog, duck, ball, mom, dad, papa, mama (for grandma), nana (for banana), we can ask him what a sheep, cow, dog, and monkey says and without having to see a picture he can make the sound, with seeing a picture he knows the sounds of a horse, fish (he does fishy lips), and pig (he tries to snort).  And then he tries to mimic just about anything we say to him.

It's so hard to get Paxton on video, but he did pretty good on this one.  I love when he does muscle.  I still need to get a decent video of him blowing kisses, it's so cute!

TEETH
Paxton is getting 2 more teeth right now and they are
his molars!  His other teeth never seemed to bother his that much, but these one's have not been fun.  We are over the worst of it now, thank goodness!  He was waking up multiple times during the night and I even had to take him for a drive once to get him to fall asleep.

WALKING
Nope, not yet.  He is getting a little more brave, he will walk with just holding one hand but as soon as he feels you trying to slip your finger away, he will sit down.  And then I was informed last night by my mom that Paxton took 4 steps to her!!!!   That stinker, he's supposed to do that for me not grandma ;)

This video was taken about two weeks ago when Paxton was loving his walker and he just wanted to walk around the house over and over again.  In the video every time he bumps into the wall I say 'help' because before he would just start crying so I was trying to teach him to not cry for help but ask.

This next video was taken about 5 days ago and he is starting to get more use to just holding onto one hand while walking.

He's going to be walking soon!!

St. Paxton's Day

A year ago on March 17th, this little baby boy and this beautiful girl made us the LUCKIEST parents ever!!

Here is how we celebrated this day...

Bath time.

He had to wear his birthday suit on his birthday ;)

Then we went to McDonalds for breakfast and play.

Paxton is lucky to have a dad who will crawl around in the tunnels with him.

Lunch time.

We went to the park when Dad got home from work.  Lilo had a blast chasing her frisbee!

Testing out mother nature.

Dinner time.

And present time!
The video is of Paxton's first time on his four-wheeler.  Since then he is liking it alot more now.  But he still needs help with it.

Happy Birthday little buddy!  LOVE YOU!!

Paxton turns ONE!!

Happy St. Paxton's Day to my sweet baby boy!  I can't believe it was a year ago today that he came into this world.  That was the luckiest and best day of our lives!

These are his one year old pictures taken by my cousin at the salt lake library.  They turned out so stinkin' cute!

I love this one because he says "dah" and what does a dog say? "woo woo".  You can see it on his face :)

What a STUD!

Some new things Paxton has been doing recently is...

*saying "duh" and hitting his head.
*softly bonking his head against the wall and turns to look at you for a response.  So I say "bonk" and he turns to do it again and again...
*he has mastered going down the stairs.  He knows how to turn around now without us telling him to (most of the time).
*when he gives kisses now he puckers up by sucking in his cheeks like a fishy face.  And he also will blow kisses to you.
*he loves to ride on Daddy's shoulders especially when he is running, Paxton will scream and laugh.

We love this boy so so much, we can't get enough of him!  He is so easy going and overall a happy little boy.  We are not proud parents at all  *wink wink*

another day with the Kimballs...

Last Friday, Rem and I went to my cousins wedding and Paxton got to go play with the Kimballs again!  He loves playing with those kids!  Visit the Kimballs blog to view some cute pics of the boys playing.  Thanks Rach, looks like we need to get these boys together more often :)

This is my cousin Sam and his new wife Abby.  Their wedding was beautiful!  They got married at Bountiful Temple and a dinner at Memory Grove.   I took my camera but left it in the car so I didn't get any pictures, I grabbed this one from facebook.  They are so adorable and I am so glad Sam found such a wonderful girl!

I can't wait to take Paxton and Lilo back to Memory Grove Park, it was beautiful there!

A week with the Kimballs

At the end of February, Rem and I helped out his sister and her husband by watching 2 of their kids while they went to Hawaii.  We babysat Jessica (8) and Taylor (6), Paxton called him 'Tay Tay' (in a whisper).

Paxton LOVED Tay Tay!  Taylor was such a big help and loved to play with Paxton!
Paxton was quite the show off with those kids.  In the mornings he would have full conversations with them by pointing at them and then back at himself while jabbering away.  It was super cute and hilarious!

The kids got along great with Lilo.  We even turned her into a lion while we were there :)  My mother-in-law makes these cute hats in all different animals.

Paxton had a GREAT time at the Kimball home!
He loved their back door.  He spent a good part of his time here just watching the kids or Lilo play outside.

He also loved the piano!  Whether he was playing it or I was playing it (the one song that I know)- he loved to dance to it.

We had a great time with Jess and Tay Tay.  It definitely gave us an eye opener to having more kids and having older kids that have HOMEWORK :0  But one great benefit was Paxton had buddies to play with!
